New York Vignettes: Sketches

These are unfinished attempts at a graphic novel about life in New York City, snapshots in which I attempted to capture it as candidly as possible, in all of its whimsy and sorrow. Although this iteration of the project was never completed, the characters and their narratives live on in my mind, as a theme that I have continued unpacking and exploring over the years. They have manifested themselves in other work I’ve done, such as my zine, Am I Home Yet?
