I did this illustration for MaRDI’s quarterly newsletter. This one was about the four color theorem, which states that no more than four colors are required to color the regions of any map so that no two adjacent regions have the same color. I decided to use modern art to illustrate this concept, basing my drawings on the work of Keith Haring and Piet Mondrian.
